The Mid American Neuroscience Research Foundation (MANRF) is a not for profit research foundation created to promote research and education. Using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, the MANRF evaluated the effectiveness of the ImpactRX Breathe Aid. The focus of their lead investigator, Dr D. Rowe, was the anterior nares (external portion of the nostrils), which opens into the nasal cavity and allows inhalation and exhalation of air. Each is an oval opening that measures about 1.5cm anteroposteriorly and about 1 cm in diameter. It stands to reason that if there is less obstruction and lower congestion in the nasal passages, it would lead to improved efficiency in breathing. The MANRF used suitable and consenting subjects to conduct the evaluation and efficacy variables included MRI and oxygen saturation. The study was conducted in full conformance with principles of the “declaration of Helskinki†good clinical practice and within the laws and regulations of the United States of America. What were the results? The study showed that the ImpactRx Sport Breathe Aid opens the nose by 58% to increase airflow.
